I’m sure you have, a few moments after entering your information, you received an email in your inbox with a link to the free information you requested. Well, all of this happened thanks to the magic of an autoresponder.

Although autoresponders are now extremely complex, and powerful, they can simply be described as programs that send out an automated email message whenever it receives a request.

Why Do We Need Autoreponders

In our example above, you requested a free piece of information that you were interested in. Before receiving it you had to click on a confirmation link that added you to the website owner’s list. In exchange he or she gave you the piece of information you were requesting for free.

Once you or anyone else have been added to a list, the site owner can stay in contact with you, offering you more free valuable content and great offers… well at least that how it should be.

As an internet marketer your most valuable asset is not your website, your services, or your products. Your most valuable asset without a doubt is your list. Your business is not your website, your business is your customers and by developing your list you’re developing your business.
