Have you ever wanted to know exactly how many times a URL has been shared on Facebook?

Sometimes, whether it is to research on competition, or just pure curiosity, you might want to see how many times a link has been shares on Facebook.

Sure, you can check the social plugin on most websites, and the number is displayed for everyone to see. But what about websites that don’t have social plugins? What if you wanted to see how many times Google’s home page has been shared on Facebook? what would you do?

Well I have a simple and easy technique for you to find out exactly how many times any URL has been shared on Facebook.


Simply add any URL you are researching to the end of the URL below :

http://graph.facebook.com/YOUR-URL-HERE

For example, If you want to find out how many times google.com (Google’s Homepage) has been shared on Facebook, then simply add this to your browsers address bar:

This is the result I got, If you click the link above you will see the current numbers.

So at the time of this writing Google had 2,066,383 shares on Facebook.

If you enter a webpage that has Facebook comments enabled, you will also see the number of comments that page has.
